November Update

Hello all!

Sorry that it took so long for me to write any  kind of update. I don't recall if I mentioned it previously, but since this is a personal project and I have a full time job, the time and energy I dedicate to it can wax and wane, much like the moon. Let's get into it though!

First thing's first: there won't probably be a new update for the game until at least next year. A cocktail of executive dysfunction/writer's block, depression, and life outside of writing have kept me from getting as far as i would've liked to the last couple months, and I want to bring you all a somewhat substantial amount of new reading to do. Right now, I only have about 6000 words written for this update (For reference, the last update had close to 40000). So, lots more writing to do before this is even close to complete. I'm hoping that I'll be able to have a couple days worth of content when the time comes around since it takes me so long between updates.

In more recent news, I'm getting my first official sprite done for the game! I'm not going to post the whole thing yet, but I can't help but want to share the handsome man. Say hello to Aelfric's official face, At least in human form! 

The artist is @retrohurricane.bsky.social. Make sure to give them a follow, because they make great stuff! Obviously, this isn't completely finalized, but I got overexcited and wanted to share! More art will be trickling in over the next several months. Hopefully once I get all the main characters' sprites I'll be able to start replacing the temporary art with real stuff.

Lastly, Thanks to anyone who's read the work so far. It's been a labor of love, and will continue to be, but I hope you're getting just as much enjoyment out of the characters as I am. I can't wait to keep telling this story so that you all can see how it unfolds. Although I started this project for myself, I genuinely hope that people are liking what I'm creating and that this project will continue to grow.
